If I could I would divide the rest of the leisure days of my life in two ways. On some days, I would like to roam freely in wide and open spaces in nature – sea, mountains, meadows, forests, deserts and on some days I would rather confine myself in a cozy room and contemplate. Recently during my trip to Blowing Rock, a beautiful mountain village on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, my days were exactly the way I would like them to be.

If you want to spend a carefree day with your loved ones amidst a serene lake and greens all around, then plan a day trip to Manzanita Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park, California. After walking for a few minutes and taking some turns along the lake, you can find out the perfect vantage point to capture the perfect shot of Lassen Peak’s reflection in the blue water of Manzanita Lake.
The world inside the sea is different; dark yet colorful; calm yet wild and known yet unknown. It is really difficult to let go of such a world without seeing. I didn’t miss the chance of a submarine tour when I was visiting Hawaii. I can’t emphasize enough that it is one of the must-do activities in this exotic island. I purchased a ticket from Atlantis in Waikiki and spent a memorable afternoon 100 ft under the surface of the Pacific ocean.
After spending an exciting night in Hualapai Ranch in Grand Canyon, we started for Las Vegas the next day afternoon. We reached Las Vegas by evening. After relaxing for a couple of hours in our hotel (Excalibur), we were ready to explore the charming and glittering night in Vegas.
Few more hours and 2014 will bid adieu to 2013. Time for new resolutions and new dreams. I believe one of the finest blessings of our existence is the ability to read and gain knowledge. To me books are my most precious companion, powerful solace and my true delight. I always exchange my vacant, intellectual and blank solitudes with books and only books (though nowadays with my kindle – thanks to the technology)!! Today I decided to take my readers to a paradise where the most precious treasure is knowledge. Come and explore with me the main library of Princeton University (also called the Firestone Library) – an abode of books.
Few days are left for Christmas. I wanted to present to my readers a tale of a place which is full of life and in perfect harmony with the mood of celebrations in this festive season. I decided to write about the Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, USA. Lovely smells of seafood all over the street, people from different parts of the world, different shops for various souvenirs, cute Sea Lions, large ships, wonderful white birds, cable cars (manually operated) and of course the seaside generates energetic vibes in abundance, making the Fisherman’s Wharf a happening and enchanting place to relax, to mix with the crowd and to enjoy.
One of the open secrets of nature’s pace is patience. I realized this when I saw the Grand Canyon.
It was a new dawn–a new beginning–a new experience–a new realization–and now a young memory. The silent dawn became a solemn teacher, which inspired me to aspire even in the caliginous hours, when I saw the rising star was breaking apart all the darkness slowly but steadily and making its way to shine bright.
