One of the best things about the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk in Cambria is its flexibility — you can begin your walk at any point along the trail and still enjoy uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean.
The boardwalk stretches approximately 1 mile one-way, or about 2 to 2.5 miles round trip if you include short side trails leading to beach access points and tide pools.
The Moonstone Beach Boardwalk runs from the southern end near Santa Rosa Creek parking lot all the way to the northern end at Leffingwell Landing, where you’ll find picnic areas and a perfect place to pause before looping back.
Because it’s such a short and family-friendly trail, we were able to enjoy the entire boardwalk at a leisurely pace, stopping often to admire the scenery and let the kids explore.
