Death Valley National Park – A water-less wonder!

After seeing the Death Valley National Park, I named it a water-less wonder. The vast golden landscape is interesting not only to a geologist but has an appeal to a photographer, and an artist. A good photographer can perhaps capture the beautiful and brutal, dry and dangerous, hot and harsh landscape along with small remnants of life. An artist can reveal the presence of a strange silence in Death Valley like no one else. You and I are mere spectators of this vast wonder named  Death Valley.

Bryce Canyon National Park – a masterpiece of nature!

Some hundreds of years ago there lived a man in the rugged landscape of Utah – a place where survival for an extended period of time was difficult. He was an ordinary man who built a home for his family, a canal for his crops and his cows and a road to collect wood. He used to collect woods to keep them warm during the dark hours of the winter night. One day, he could not find his cow and went to search her. After a while, he not only found his cow but something ethereal. He was not prepared to see what he saw! Ebenezer Bryce unknowingly discovered today’s Bryce Canyon National Park that attracts thousands of tourists throughout the year.

Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America!

I believe a large water body, be it a river, sea or lake, has a profound effect on men and women living near it. I lived near the beautiful Lake Geneva for six years. That lake has become a part of me. Perhaps in my subconscious mind, I long for the silence that I used to enjoy while walking along the shores of the Lake Geneva.  When I saw Lake Tahoe, I was overwhelmed with joy. After almost 2 years, I saw a lake similar to Lake Geneva where I spent countless hours thinking and reflecting on life and death.  Among many romantic geteways in California, the beautiful Lake Tahoe, which is the largest alpine lake in North America, will take the first place.

In the depths of the Pacific – A submarine tour in Hawaii

The world inside the sea is different; dark yet colorful; calm yet wild and known yet unknown. It is really difficult to let go of such a world without seeing.  I didn’t miss the chance of a submarine tour when I was visiting Hawaii. I can’t emphasize enough that it is one of the must-do activities in this exotic island. I purchased a ticket from Atlantis in Waikiki and spent a memorable afternoon 100 ft under the surface of the Pacific ocean.

Picnic in Hap Magee Ranch Park in California!

Amidst several identities like digital marketer, social media strategist, travel blogger, nature lover, wife, daughter, sister, friend and a mom, let me pick two identities for this post – nature lover and a mom. I always find ways to let my daughter connect with nature to give her some extra dose of vitamin G (G stands for green). Hap Magee Ranch Park in California is a beautiful green park that I discovered on our road trip to the Lassen Volcanic National Park. It is an easy stop right off Highway 680.
