Notification alert 🔔: Real-world has a secret magnet to attract our mind and soul and is more powerful than any virtual world’s algorithm that optimizes to gain our partial attention.
After a week-long trip to the Canadian Rockies, I realize this truth now, even more, as I am re-entering into the world of social media by virtue of my profession.
Although I am back, my heart is still reminiscing the views of the Rockies while riding up the Banff Gondola.
It was akin to floating amidst beauty. The music of the guitar played by a musician at the top of the mountain that evening during the sunset festival is still surpassing the sound of my keyboard.
I feel I am still listening to it live. The resplendent Rockies at the time of the sunset made my eyes content to its brim.
Now, when I am writing these lines in my diary, my mind’s eye is still marveling at the scene of the setting sun over the Canadian Rockies.

Banff Gondola
It was almost time to board the Banff Gondola by Pursuit when we reached the venue. We were pressed for time and on top of that, we could not find a parking place.
Just when we were looking for some other places to park our car, a kind-hearted woman told us in her German accent “I am taking my car out. You can park here”.
Within moments everything was sorted out and we headed towards Banff Gondola after thanking that woman.
Whenever I come across qualities like empathy, kindness, compassion, and care, I feel reassured and comforted. These qualities make our life meaningful and this world livable.

After reaching we still had some time left. Hence I decided to drink a cup of coffee from the adjacent Starbucks.
While relishing the warmth of the slanting rays of the afternoon sun, every sip from the coffee-cup was a joy.

Views from Banff Gondola
A few seconds after boarding the Gondola, when we started ascending towards the mountain, every sight was a treat to our eyes.
When I looked down, I saw a sea of green; Pines, Spruces, and Cedars were standing tall. A turquoise river was flowing amidst the trees.

When I looked up, I saw the mountain peaks in their full glory; sparkling in the afternoon sun. They form pictures of divine beauty in which no healthy eye may ever grow weary.

When I looked to my sides, I saw the gentle wind slowly shaking the slender spires of the spruces and other trees.

Viewing Decks
We left the gondola and entered a purple-hued corridor which took us to the viewing deck.
The first glimpse of Banff from above and a piece of soft music from a hidden speaker rekindled the subtle senses within.
I saw some people were enjoying their time at the Sulphur Mountain board-walk and some people were silently admiring the view from the deck.
After spending some time there we went up to another viewing deck and met a silver bear; a beautiful sculpture!

I saw a few tables with fire-pits and decided to sit and see the Rockies. A comfortable, cozy and peaceful place to admire their majesty.
On top of this, I got to listen to a romantic tune playing from the speaker nearby. I realized, perhaps music is the best intangible thing to complement the sparkling Rockies in front.
The viewing deck also reminded me of my time in the Swiss Alps.

I loved watching my daughter glowing brightly in the afternoon sun while she was playing with the garden blocks.
I enveloped the moment for posterity so that I could share it when she grows up.

I also realized the existence of the present is not without our future dreams and past experiences. Our future dreams and past experiences impart a qualitative value to our present. Don’t you agree?

A video from the Banff Gondola
Sunset Festival
The impenetrable mountain walls of the Rockies were guarding the heart and mind of mine against the 21st-century life full of distractions.
I let myself get immersed in the moment unhindered. The majestic Rockies didn’t let any work-related thoughts enter my mind.

After a while, I thought of going to the other end of the viewing deck and I was pleasantly surprised. I saw a man playing guitar and the crowd was dwelling in the realm of beauty and music.
Without wasting any time we all joined the youthful and energetic buzz.
I realized, perhaps music is the best intangible thing to complement the sparkling Rockies in front. #Travel #wanderer #ExploreCanada Click To Tweet

Sunset over the Canadian Rockies
In between two mountain peaks, I saw the bright orange sun shining. The rays sparkled the Rockies under the golden sky and streamed through the trees below.
A bright lemon glow was slowly changing into an evening. After a few minutes of the sunset, the silhouette of the mountain peaks looked stunning.
The approaching dark and the gentle but cold wind blowing silently made me intimate with my inner thoughts.

Life is frighteningly short. I need a felicitous way to battle against oblivion. And to do this I have only one wish; may life continue to take me to beautiful places like this.
I strung the moments of the evening spent amidst the Canadian Rockies together through words lest my memory betrays when I grow old.
Perhaps one night during my old age, when the sky will vibrate with stars, I would read and cherish the story of this evening once more. Memories and words give us the opportunity to relive moments!
