If I could I would divide the rest of the leisure days of my life in two ways. On some days, I would like to roam freely in wide and open spaces in nature – sea, mountains, meadows, forests, deserts and on some days I would rather confine myself in a cozy room and contemplate. Recently during my trip to Blowing Rock, a beautiful mountain village on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina, my days were exactly the way I would like them to be.
Roads that greeted my dreams
I have always dreamed about walking on a road where autumn blooms and where sunshine sparkles autumn leaves. This road greeted not just me but my dreams too. Crispy orange leaves, crusty red leaves, and soft yellow leaves, blissful blue above and gorgeous green below made the reality even more vibrant than my dream.I have always dreamed about walking on a road where autumn blooms and where sunshine sparkles autumn leaves. Lakes that sparkled my thoughts
The shores of the Price Lake in Blowing Rock was full of life. Children were playing, some people were taking a leisurely stroll, some were relaxing by the lake and lovers were lost in each other’s eyes.
I felt a nip in the air, loved watching thousands of tiny waves on the lake and thoughts strewn in my mind. After a while and some miles of driving, I found myself contemplating by another lake. The day was slowly retiring, the time was flowing silently and my thoughts were urging me to create some blue waves on paper. I took out my diary and scribbled.

Blowing Rock that gifted me a spectacular vista
I am a mountain lover. The more I experience them, the more I pine for them. The sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the Blowing Rock were soothing. My daughter too loved the serenity and the peaceful surrounding. I stood still and savored the perfection of the stillness afar.I am a mountain lover. I loved walking on the bridge amidst the greenery. While walking I saw the sun peeping through the trees hinting me to look up. I looked skyward between the leaves, yellow and green and loved the golden glow.
Where I stayed in Blowing Rock
The peaceful Meadowbrook Inn was perfect for comfort and some contemplation. I distinctly remember the morning when I made a cup of coffee and enjoyed the powdery mist burning off in the sun. Fresh flowers on the breakfast table, soft sunlight and a beautiful surrounding made me contemplative and a bit nostalgic that day in @meadowbrook.inn. I stayed here during my trip to Blowing Rock – a beautiful and idyllic mountain village on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Contemplation and nostalgia are perhaps the side effects of autumnal air. I savored not just the sumptuous breakfast but also the late warmth of autumn despite the coming chill of winter. . #TravelRealizations #blueridgemoments #blowingrock #ad
I enjoyed reading by the duck pond and spent some time contemplating and reflecting.
Thank you Meadowbrook Inn for the comfort of the cozy room and the luxury to contemplate.
